Nic's Booster Shots are a type of product that is essentially a 10ml bottle of a flavourless e-liquid (Nic Shot) with a high concentration of nicotine. As with other e-liquids containing nicotine in the UK, Nic Shots are regulated through the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) laws, that nothing can exceed a strength of 20mg/ml.

Due to TPD, e-liquids containing nicotine can no longer be sold in bottles larger than 10ml. To get around this restriction for vapers who would prefer to buy larger quantities of e-liquid, short-fill products were developed; meaning you can purchase 0mg e-liquid in larger 60, 100...ml bottles with room left in each bottle for you to add your preferred quantity of Nic Shots.

Higher VG (70/30-80/20) – When using 100 ml shortfill for sub ohm vaping, you use a High VG Nic Shot, to ensure that the consistency is thick enough, there is no leaking and produces as large clouds as you wish.

50-50-50 Ratios– If you are using smaller Shortfills (50-50) for a Starter Kit, you use a 50-50 NIC Shot to maintain the thinner physical property needed for proper wicking into small coils.

The Mixing Process

Mixing Nicotine Shots is Easy to do if you follow directions properly so that the Nicotine is evenly dispersed throughout.

• Checking Space: Make sure that there is enough space left over for “headspace” in the bottle of Shortfill Example (60 ml Shortfill & 50 ml of Juice).
• Removing Caps: Remove caps and Nibs/Drippers from Shortfill and from Nicotine Shot.
• Add: Use the entire bottle (10ml) of nic shot to fill the shortfill bottle.

Reconnect and Shake

Firmly attach caps and nib securely. Shake vigorously for a minimum of 60 seconds for the best results. This is key because if not properly mixed, you can create 'hot spots' of nicotine in your e-liquid!

Steeping (Optional)

You may vape right away, but allowing time to pass will provide you with better results when completing a full flavour profile; once all ingredients are well blended, we recommend leaving e-liquid to rest for 2-3 hours prior to using.

• 100 ml of Shortfill requires the addition of 2 x 18mg Nic shots to yield 120ml of e-liquid @ 3mg.

If you'd like a stronger hit (6mg), you can simply double the amount of shots used (as long as there is enough space in the bottle).

What is the difference between Nic Shots and Nic Salt Shots?

The Nicotine contained in Nic Shots is a freebase version of Nicotine, which means that it is more potent than Nic Salt, takes a longer time to absorb into the bloodstream, and is a smoother way to be absorbed via the mouth, thus producing almost instantaneous relief from the craving for Nicotine, but causing no throat irritation.

How many Nicotine Shots will I require for a 100ml bottle?

Usually, to achieve a common 3mg of nicotine strength within a 100ml short-fill bottle, you would add two 10ml x 18mg Nic Shot booster shots, resulting in 120ml of total E-Liquid. Please make sure your 100ml bottle has enough space to accommodate 2 xs.

Should I allow E-Liquid to steep before using it after I’ve blended it?

You can use E-Liquid as soon as you’ve thoroughly mixed it; however, we recommend that you allow it to settle for 15 – 30 minutes. This time allows all components (VG/PG, nicotine and flavouring) to combine together, giving you an identical vaping experience throughout the entire 120ml of E-liquid in your 100ml bottle.

Can I use a Nicotine Booster Shot on its own for vaping?

We do not permit the use of Nicotine Shot on its own. They are super-concentrated liquid products that do not contain flavours and have only one purpose, which is to mix with 0 mg short fill E-liquids. If you were to use nicotine shots as a standalone vaping product, you would have an unpleasant experience and most likely have toxic effects from the nicotine level being so high.
